We are Lisa and Iain Reid, and we live in a beautiful part of Scotland, in the UK.  We have been owned by Ridgebacks since 2007, and the Saadani kennel was born in 2011 with the registration of the kennel name.  We work in partnership with Sharon Rossiter of the Sonstraal Kennel, where we got our first Ridgeback, Elvis, from.  We were lucky to have such a great introduction to the breed in both Elvis and Sharon, who has been a wonderful mentor to learn from. 

 

We strive to maintain the Rhodesian Ridgeback Breed Standard of the UK Kennel Club in our dogs, and are proud of our ethos of always trying to do the right thing.  We always health test our dogs, stay away from inbreeding and are upfront and open about puppy and stud contracts.  No hidden agenda here.  We invest a lot in our dogs between importing fresh bloodlines, collecting and freezing old ones, health testing and campaigning our dogs in the show scene to gain awards from peers, to ensure the breed is improved for future generations.  We breed, only occasionally, for health, temperament and breed type.
